Acceptable use policy
Last updated 18 August 2026
Purpose
Tapbound converts websites into apps. Because we do not control the content of source websites, this policy states clearly what is and is not permitted, and what happens when a violation is identified.
You must not use Tapbound to convert
- A website you do not own or are not explicitly authorised to convert into a mobile application.
- A website that hosts phishing pages, malware, spyware, ransomware, or any other malicious content.
- A website that hosts illegal content under the laws of any jurisdiction where the app is intended to be published or used.
- A website whose primary purpose is to defraud, deceive, impersonate, or mislead its visitors.
- A website that is directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age threshold in your jurisdiction) if data-collecting features are enabled for that app.
- A website that constitutes hate speech, incitement to violence, or harassment.
- A website containing sexually explicit content unless you have confirmed that applicable law in your jurisdiction explicitly permits such distribution and appropriate age-verification mechanisms are in place.
You must not use the platform to
- Create multiple accounts to exceed free-tier build limits (account farming).
- Automate or script interactions with the platform in a way that degrades service for other users.
- Attempt to access another user’s account, builds, or credentials.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract Tapbound’s proprietary conversion tooling.
- Use the service to generate apps that violate Apple App Store or Google Play Store policies.
How we identify violations
Every submitted website passes an automated malicious-site check (powered by the Google Safe Browsing API and other signals) before a build is queued. Anyone can report a live app built on this platform by emailing [email protected]. Reports are kept separate from general support and prioritised accordingly.
What happens when a violation is confirmed
For a single confirmed violation of a serious nature (malware, phishing, child-safety), the app is removed from the platform immediately and the account may be suspended without prior notice. Stored credentials are purged at suspension.
For lesser or first-time violations, we will notify you and give you an opportunity to remedy the issue before taking further action. A pattern of repeated violations will result in permanent account termination.
Appeals
Every takedown and every suspension has an appeal path. Email [email protected] with your account email and a description of why you believe the decision was incorrect. We aim to respond to appeals within 5 business days.
Automated checks and false positives
Automated malicious-site checks can produce false positives. A site that is flagged by automation always has a manual review path. If your site was flagged and you believe it should not have been, contact [email protected].
